MA12000 Integrated Amplifier

on-demo
in-stock

The McIntosh MA12000 combines a vacuum-tube preamplifier with a 350-watt-per-channel solid-state power amplifier. Its Hybrid Drive architecture places four 12AX7A tubes in the preamplifier section and uses McIntosh Autoformers to deliver the rated output into 2-, 4-, or 8-ohm loudspeakers.

Seventeen analog and digital inputs make the MA12000 a comprehensive system center. The included DA2 Digital Audio Module supports files through 24-bit/192kHz and DSD512, while two phono inputs, an eight-band analog equalizer, balanced and unbalanced outputs, and a dedicated subwoofer output provide room for a carefully planned system to grow.

Three Important Features

  • Hybrid Drive architecture: A four-tube preamplifier section is paired with a solid-state power amplifier.
  • Load-independent rated output: Autoformers provide 350 watts per channel into 2-, 4-, or 8-ohm loudspeakers.
  • Broad source and system flexibility: Seventeen inputs, the DA2 module, two phono inputs, equalization, and multiple outputs support complex systems.

Three Important Specifications

  • Tube complement: Preamplifier section: four 12AX7A.
  • Power output: 350 watts per channel into 2, 4, or 8 ohms.
  • Total harmonic distortion: Preamplifier: 0.03%; power amplifier: 0.005%.
