The f110v2 brings the Fathom feature set to a cabinet under 16 inches tall. A proprietary 10-inch JL Audio driver is driven by a 1,100-watt switching amplifier with a large toroidal transformer, and an onboard DSP runs D.A.R.O., JL's 18-band Digital Automatic Room Optimization, set up with the included calibration microphone. Front-mounted controls add E.L.F. trim for the deepest bass, 12 or 24 dB/octave low-pass filtering, and continuous phase.
Room correction is what separates a Fathom from the E-Sub and Dominion models: it tames the peaks most rooms produce at the listening seat, so bass sounds even rather than boomy. Reviewers found the f110v2 packs a real punch for its size, though it can't match the larger Fathoms for extension and output; it reaches 25 Hz at −3 dB. It suits small and medium rooms, and two can be linked by XLR as master and slave.
