The e112 uses a 12-inch JL Audio long-excursion driver with a DMA-optimized motor, a 1,500-watt proprietary switching amplifier and a sealed cabinet just over 16 inches tall. Like the e110, it has a true two-way crossover with high-pass line outputs, so it can relieve your main speakers of the deepest bass, and speaker-level inputs for amplifiers without a sub output. It is built and individually tested in JL Audio's U.S. factory.
Reviewers found the e112 smooth and composed, nearly indistinguishable from the e110 at normal levels but clearly ahead in the deepest bass and at high volume, where its extra output gives films real physical impact. It reaches 21 Hz at −3 dB. It suits medium rooms and floorstanding or large standmount speakers. There's no built-in room correction, so placement and the phase and crossover controls matter; for automatic room optimization, look at the Fathom range.
