The story
Nordost describes the Odin 2 Analog Interconnect as the ultimate interface available in the industry. Its ten 23 AWG conductors of silver-plated 99.999999% oxygen-free copper, solid core, are each wound in Dual Mono-Filament and extruded in class 1.003 FEP, and each is individually shielded under Nordost's TSC design for 100% coverage. Lay and length are mechanically tuned. Capacitance is 18.5 pF/ft, inductance 0.05 µH/ft and the velocity of propagation 90%.
The connectors are purpose-built HOLO:PLUG RCAs and XLRs whose gold-plated solid brass-alloy pins are designed to reduce vibration and eddy currents. Because the termination is integral to the cable, Odin 2 interconnects cannot be re-terminated later, so choose RCA or XLR with your system in mind. Marc Mickelson of The Audio Beat and Jacob Heilbrunn of The Absolute Sound both reviewed the Odin 2 interconnect as part of the range and placed it above anything else they had used.
Interconnects are sold as a pair in lengths from 0.6 m to 7 m in half-metre steps, with a single cable for mono use at half price. It is the link we specify between the dCS Varèse or Vivaldi stack and a Burmester or MOON reference preamplifier.
