The story
For the few components that carry analog or clock signals over 50 Ω BNC connections, Nordost builds Odin Gold as a coaxial pair. A single 18 AWG conductor of gold-plated 99.999999% oxygen-free copper, solid core, sits in Dual Mono-Filament inside class 1.003 extruded FEP, with TSC shielding for 100% coverage and a mechanically tuned length. Nordost quotes 10.5 pF/ft and a velocity of propagation of 90%.
The construction matches the 50 Ω version of the Odin Gold Digital Cable; this listing is the matched stereo pair, terminated at both ends with gold-plated 50 Ω BNC connectors.
Pairs are built to order in lengths from 0.6 m to 2.5 m in half-metre steps, with longer runs on request. If you are unsure whether your components call for a 50 Ω connection rather than RCA or XLR, call us before ordering.
