Lumina II Amator uses the same drivers and cabinet size as Lumina II but receives a crossover tuned with methods drawn from the Homage range. The higher crossover point gives the midwoofer more of the vocal band and smooths the handoff to the tweeter.
Reviews describe tighter bass, richer upper mids, silkier treble, and a larger sense of space than the standard model. It is still a compact speaker with 55 Hz bass, so it works best in a small room or with a subwoofer when deep bass matters.
