The story

The ASW610 is the subwoofer we most often add to a 600 Series system. Its 250 mm long-throw driver uses a paper-pulp, aramid-fiber and resin cone that stays stiff under load, and the closed-box cabinet keeps the bass fast and controlled rather than loose. A 200-watt Class D amplifier gives it comfortable headroom for music and film in small and medium rooms.

Controls are analog and easy: line and speaker-level inputs with separate level knobs, a variable 4th-order low-pass filter with bypass, three bass-extension positions, a bass roll-off alignment switch, phase and auto-sense standby. A 12 V trigger input lets a processor switch it on and off. In Matte Black or Matte White it disappears beside a pair of 606 S3 or 603 S3 speakers.

Key technologies

  • Long-throw paper/aramid driver. Paper pulp, aramid fiber and resin combine for a cone that moves a lot of air without breaking up.
  • Sealed enclosure. A closed box for tight, well-damped bass that integrates easily with the main speakers.
  • Adjustable bass extension. Three alignments (20, 25 and 30 Hz at –6 dB) plus roll-off alignment to tune for the room.
  • Flexible inputs. Line and speaker-level inputs, variable low-pass filter with bypass, phase switch, 12 V trigger and auto-sense standby.

Finishes

  • Matte Black cabinet with black grille
  • Matte White cabinet with grey grille

All finishes are the same price. Choose the finish above; if you would like to see samples, ask us for a listening appointment.
