The story
The Blue Heaven 3 Interconnect uses four solid-core 24 AWG conductors of silver-plated 99.9999% oxygen-free copper, arranged as two twisted pairs. Each pair is shielded on its own and the whole is covered by a second shield for 97% coverage. The insulation is extruded FEP, the same material used throughout the Nordost range. Nordost describes it as a high-speed, low-loss design that preserves a sense of musical power and momentum.
Nordost does not filter its cables; the aim is a neutral conduit, and that is how Blue Heaven 3 behaves in a system. It is a sensible first upgrade for a good integrated amplifier and source, and the balanced version is a natural fit for components with XLR connections.
Interconnects come as a pair, terminated with gold-plated Nordost Neutrik Profi RCA plugs or Neutrik XLRs. The 0.6 m length suits components side by side on a rack; 1 m or 1.5 m covers most stacked systems. A single cable for a mono application can be ordered at half the pair price.
