The story
Blue Heaven 3 is the first rung of Nordost's Leif 3 series and the least expensive way to get the flat, extruded-FEP speaker cable the company has built in Massachusetts for three decades. Each cable carries eighteen solid-core 24 AWG conductors of 99.9999% oxygen-free copper, each plated with silver and laid side by side at a mechanically tuned spacing. The flat geometry keeps capacitance and inductance low, and the solid cores avoid the strand interaction of conventional stranded wire.
The sound is what Nordost is known for: quick, open and even-handed, with low loss over long runs. Reviewing the full Blue Heaven III loom in August 2026, StereoNET found it majored on speed, clarity and musical organisation. In our experience it suits revealing, modestly priced systems and does not call attention to itself.
The cable comes as a factory-terminated pair with gold-plated Z-plug bananas or 6.5 mm spades, chosen independently for the amplifier and speaker ends. Measure along the path the cable will take and round up; both cables in a pair are the same length. Large 8.5 mm and small 5 mm spades, and lengths beyond 7 m, are available to order.
