The story
The Odin Gold Analog Interconnect keeps the geometry of Odin 2, ten 23 AWG solid-core conductors of 99.999999% oxygen-free copper in Dual Mono-Filament and class 1.003 extruded FEP with TSC shielding, and changes the metal. Conductors and shields are plated in gold, and the HOLO:PLUG RCA and XLR connectors, with their solid brass-alloy pins, are gold-plated too. Capacitance is 18.5 pF/ft, inductance 0.05 µH/ft and the velocity of propagation 90%, with 100% shield coverage.
Nordost offers no measurements to explain the difference between the gold and silver cables, and we will not invent any. What we can say is that Odin Gold is built in very small numbers to order, that it is the only cable above Odin 2 in the range, and that the people who buy it tend to have already lived with Odin 2.
Pairs are built to order in lengths from 0.6 m to 2.5 m in half-metre steps, with longer runs on request and a single cable at half price. We will plan the loom with you, from source to power amplifier, before anything is ordered.
