The story
Nordost's Odin 2 Bi-Wire Jumpers share the design philosophy of the Odin 2 loudspeaker cable. Thirteen 20 AWG conductors of silver-plated 99.999999% oxygen-free copper, solid core, are arranged and precisely spaced on either side of a hollow inner core, each in Dual Mono-Filament inside class 1.003 extruded FEP, with mechanically tuned spacing and length. Capacitance is 8.0 pF/ft, inductance 0.125 µH/ft and the velocity of propagation 98%, matching the speaker cable.
The purpose is to keep the sonic signature consistent across the system: with Odin 2 speaker cable into bi-wire speakers, the jumper is the only other conductor in the loudspeaker circuit, and the supplied plates are not in its class.
A set of four covers one pair of speakers; a pair of jumpers is available at half price. Terminations are HOLO:PLUG gold-plated 8.5 mm spades or gold-plated low-mass Z-plug bananas in any combination, and the standard lengths are 13.5 in and 27 in.
