The story
Nordost's Reference Bi-Wire Jumpers bring two of the company's top-tier techniques to the link between a bi-wire speaker's binding posts: Dual Mono-Filament construction, which holds the conductor in a virtual air dielectric, and TSC shielding, which Nordost also uses in the Odin series. The conductor is silver-plated 99.99999% oxygen-free copper, solid core, in extruded FEP, with mechanically tuned length.
Nordost says that replacing the standard bridging plates with Reference jumpers creates an astonishing difference, and that they maintain signal integrity between the posts. They are the jumpers we recommend with Norse 3 and Tyr-level speaker cables, a step above the Norse jumpers and below Valhalla 2.
A set of four covers one pair of speakers. The standard configuration is a gold-plated 6.5 mm spade to a Z-plug banana, so cable and jumper can share a post; banana-to-banana and spade-to-spade are the same price, and 8.5 mm spades can be ordered. Choose 7, 14 or 21 in to suit your terminals. Nordost does not publish conductor gauge or electrical figures for this jumper.
