The Statement V2 is Clearaudio's flagship: a 770-pound turntable system with magnetic drive coupling, a 98 mm platter and the TT1 tangential tonearm.

The story
The Statement is where Clearaudio's ideas are taken to their limit. A high-torque 24 V DC motor drives a lower platter by belt, and that platter turns the main platter above it through magnetic coupling, so the motor has no mechanical path to the record. The main platter is a solid 98 mm of high-density POM, dynamically balanced, over a 15 mm CNC-turned stainless steel sub-platter, and it runs on the patented CMB magnetic bearing. The drive bearing is inverted, with a ground and polished spindle in a sintered bronze bushing on ceramic balls. Electronic speed selection holds wow and flutter below ±0.03%.
The structure is aluminum, stainless steel and Panzerholz, standing about 52 inches tall with the TT1 fitted and weighing around 350 kg. The TT1 is Clearaudio's patented tangential tonearm: its carriage rides on dry-running ball bearings inside a calibrated, polished glass tube and is driven purely mechanically, so the stylus follows the straight line the cutting lathe used, with no tracking-angle error and no anti-skating. The chassis glides on two stainless steel rails and locks magnetically in the playing position.
Musical Surroundings supplies the Statement V2.1 as a complete system: the turntable, TT1 arm in black or silver with a 2 m hardwired cable or termination box, the Goldfinger Statement V2.1 cartridge, the Statement Professional Power 24V, the Statement Clamp and Outer Limit. It is sold only by approved Clearaudio dealers. This is a room-defining installation, so talk to us early about floor loading, placement and setup. Clearaudio backs it with a 10-year warranty.

The Statement V2 Turntable is not in our rooms at present. When it is the right piece for a client we arrange a demonstration unit from the manufacturer and set it up for a private session.
