The story
Il Cremonese is a 3.5-way design. A 1.1-inch DAD Arrow Point tweeter and a 7.1-inch midrange sit above two 7.1-inch woofers and two 8.7-inch subwoofers, in a fully para-aperiodic vented cabinet. The cabinet walls are not parallel, and they are reinforced in a rhomboidal diamond pattern. Its surface treatments use Avional, an aerospace aluminum alloy. Each driver's chamber is lined with materials chosen for that driver, and the speaker sits on ZVT decoupling.
HomeTheaterReview found the imaging wide and deep, with vocals floating in front of the speakers. They heard an articulate midrange that never became fatiguing, and deep, well-defined bass. Its 92 dB sensitivity makes it efficient, but the 4 Ω load and the 100 to 800 W rating suit a powerful, stable amplifier. It is built for medium-to-large rooms.
