The story
Digital signals are subject to precise transmission and termination standards, and the Valhalla 2 Digital Cable is built to meet them. The 75 Ω S/PDIF version is coaxial with a single 16 AWG conductor and 15.3 pF/ft; the 110 Ω AES/EBU version is twin-axial with two 18 AWG conductors and 10.5 pF/ft. Both use silver-plated 99.999999% oxygen-free copper, solid core, in Dual Mono-Filament inside class 1.1 extruded FEP, with two layers of silver-plated shielding for 98% coverage and a velocity of propagation of 89%.
The 75 Ω cable ends in gold-plated true 75 Ω HOLO:PLUG BNCs and ships with a gold-plated BNC-to-RCA adapter; the 110 Ω cable has gold-plated HOLO:PLUG XLRs. A 50 Ω coaxial build with a single 18 AWG conductor and gold-plated BNCs is also offered, for the clock and data connections some components use.
