The story
The Valhalla 2 Ethernet Cable lets a reference system take in network storage and streaming without a weak link. Its eight 23 AWG solid-core copper conductors form four twisted pairs, shielded and foiled, under a fully shielded triple braid. Nordost says the geometry reduces skin effect, crosstalk and EMI, and that the cable meets Category 8 frequency and transmission-speed requirements.
Each conductor is cut to a calculated, equal length, which Nordost says reduces microphony and high-frequency resonance and guarantees that all signals arrive together. The connectors are gold-plated, EMI- and ESD-resistant 8P8C/RJ45 plugs.
Pearl Audio uses this cable between a QNET switch and a dCS, MOON or Aurender streamer in reference systems. Choose a length from 1 m to 7 m in the selector; longer runs are available to order.
