The original QRT plug-in: the QVIBE QV2 is an active line harmonizer that introduces a carefully calculated range of harmonic frequencies onto the AC line, clocked from the line itself, for a greater sense of space, immediacy and presence.
Price is for one QV2 with a US plug. Nordost designs the plug-ins as a modular set; two QV2s do more than one. The passive QKOIL QK1 ($285) is the companion unit.

The story
The QV2 applies QRT technology directly to the AC line. Plugged into a spare socket on your distribution block, or any socket on the circuit the system uses, it introduces a calculated range of harmonic frequencies to the supply, clocked from the mains frequency. Nordost's description of the result is a new sense of space and immediacy, clarity and presence, with lower background noise and a deeper, more dimensional picture on video systems.
It is the longest-serving of the four plug-ins and the one most often reviewed: Marshall Nack of Positive Feedback heard a generous mid and upper bass assist from a pair of QV2s with the QK1s rounding out the treble, and George de Sa of NOVO found the combination of two QV2s and two QK1s in a QBASE gave greater warmth with greater focus and pace. The effect is cumulative, which is why Nordost suggests a second unit before anything else.
Use it on its own as a first step, or add it to a QBASE Mark III system alongside the QSINE and QWAVE.
