A passive plug-in AC enhancer: the QSINE introduces a specific frequency field onto the circuit path that reshapes the sine wave and lowers the effect of EMI noise embedded in the AC. Plug it into a spare outlet on the system's line.
Price is for one QSINE with a US plug. Benefits are cumulative; Nordost designs it to be used alongside the QWAVE, QVIBE and QKOIL.

The story
Nordost's plug-ins treat the AC supply in parallel, without putting anything in the current path. The QSINE is one of the two passive AC enhancers: it generates a specific frequency field on the circuit it is plugged into, and that field indirectly reshapes the mains sine wave, a process Nordost compares to dithering, so that the EMI noise riding on the power has less effect on the components downstream.
Nordost lists a lower perceived noise floor, more clarity, detail and pacing, and better tonal balance as the results. Neil Gader of The Absolute Sound found backgrounds marked by a dead-calm silence that became a springboard for low-level detail, with greater image stability. Each plug-in works alone, but the QSINE, QWAVE, QVIBE and QKOIL are designed as a modular set and the effect builds as they are combined; the QBASE Reference has several QSINE and QWAVE devices built in for exactly that reason.
Use it in a spare outlet on your QBASE, or any outlet on the same circuit as the system. We keep QSINE and QWAVE on hand to demonstrate on the showroom systems.
