A fanless linear power supply built for audio: six DC outputs, four of them 5 V for QPOINTs and two selectable between 9 and 24 V for a streamer, switch, DAC or phono stage, with an internal QRT module cleaning the output.
Price is for one power supply. QSOURCE DC cables (LEMO to LEMO, or LEMO to 5.5 × 2.1 or 2.5 mm) are specified per component and sold separately.

The story
Most streamers, network switches, small DACs and phono stages ship with a switch-mode wall supply, and that is where a good deal of a digital system's noise comes from. The QSOURCE replaces it with a fanless linear supply designed for audio: a top-grade transformer and Nordost's own circuit convert AC to DC, and an internal QRT module removes noise artifacts from the line and smooths the DC output. Nordost quotes excellent regulation, very low ripple and fast transient response.
It was conceived to power up to four QPOINT Resonance Synchronizers from its 5 V outputs, but the two variable outputs make it a general-purpose upgrade: output A supplies 9, 12 or 19 V and output B 12, 19 or 24 V, each selected by a switch on the back, so one QSOURCE can run a QNET or QNET7 and a streamer or DAC at the same time. Nordost publishes a compatibility chart of popular components and the cable terminations they need.
Reviewing it for Positive Feedback, Marshall Nack wrote that the refinement the QSOURCE brought exceeded his expectations and that his search for a high-end linear supply ended there. We use it under every QNET and QNET7 we install, and it is the first upgrade we suggest for a wall-wart-powered streamer.
