The story
The S3 series takes the S2 footprint and upgrades everything that touches the sound. The threaded aluminium pillars are filled with damping material so they neither ring nor store energy, and the shelves grow to 1.18 inches of laminated MDF rated to 132 pounds each. Four pillars per level bolt together with stainless hardware; the zinc-treated terminals will not rust. Spike feet and floor protectors are included.
The S3-4 is Solidsteel's top seller in the series. At 34.8 inches it places a turntable at a natural height and leaves three levels for electronics, each with 19.7 by 16.9 inches of inner shelf. Pole kits from 5.7 to 13.6 inches let you set the spacing for a tall tube amplifier or a slim streamer, and extra shelves add a level later.
Black is stocked by the US importer. We also list the S3-4 in walnut as a separate product; white is available to special order.
