The story
Everything in the S3 series is here: threaded aluminium pillars filled with damping material, 1.18-inch laminated MDF shelves rated to 132 pounds, stainless hardware and zinc-treated terminals, spikes and floor protectors in the box. The difference is the walnut laminate on every shelf, which pairs the black pillars with wood-grain surfaces that sit comfortably beside furniture rather than looking like a piece of lab equipment.
At 34.8 inches the S3-4 gives a turntable a natural working height and leaves three levels for electronics, each with 19.7 by 16.9 inches of clear shelf. All S3 pole kits and the walnut inner shelf are compatible, so the rack can be reconfigured or extended later.
Walnut is stocked by the US importer. The same rack in black is listed separately at a lower price.
