The story
With Valhalla 2, Nordost introduced a flat, twin-axial geometry to its USB cables for the first time. The two signal conductors run in parallel, which Nordost says shortens the signal path and raises transfer speed, and the power and signal conductors are individually shielded so that the 5 V supply does not pollute the data pair. The four 19 AWG conductors are silver-plated 99.999999% oxygen-free copper, solid core, in Dual Mono-Filament inside FEP, with mechanically tuned length.
Shield coverage is 100%, from a dual layer of silver foil and braid and a full-metal HOLO:PLUG backshell. Nordost purpose-built the fully shielded, low-mass USB connector so that nothing is lost at the plug. The velocity of propagation is 90%.
The standard build is USB Type A to Type B for a computer, server or streamer feeding a USB DAC; other connector types can be ordered. Choose a length from 1 m to 7 m in the selector.
