The story
The NSC 222 replaces a streamer, a DAC, a phono stage and a preamplifier with one New Classic component. Naim's streaming platform brings Roon Ready, Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, Chromecast and internet radio; four digital inputs serve a disc player or television; and an 8-pin DIN and an RCA input take analogue sources, with a moving-magnet phono input for a turntable. The headphone amplifier is the one developed for the Uniti Atom Headphone Edition. Balanced XLR and RCA outputs feed the NAP 250, and an optical link synchronises power-up between the two. The NPX 300 power supply is the upgrade path.
The 222 and NAP 250 are the heart of the system we demonstrate most often with Bowers & Wilkins 803 D4: a two-box system with the pace and drive Naim is known for, and the convenience of one app. It suits anyone replacing an older Naim pre/power or building a first serious system that will not need separates for years.
Naim New Classic components are made in one finish, black anodised aluminium, with adjustable logo brightness.
