The story
The tonearm cable carries the smallest signal in the system, a few hundred microvolts from a moving coil, so noise picked up here is amplified by everything that follows. T-Kable is a shielded twisted pair with very low capacitance, terminated at the arm with a Linn 5-pin DIN plug and at the other end with RCA phono plugs or balanced XLRs; Linn developed the DIN connector to maximize contact area. It is 6 mm in diameter and comes in 1.2 m and 1.7 m lengths. Linn supplies it with the Ekos SE, and the Krane and Arko take the same DIN connection.
Choose XLR to run balanced into a phono stage with balanced inputs, such as the Uphorik, or RCA for a conventional single-ended input. The 1.7 m length is for a phono stage on a different shelf; most installations use 1.2 m. Linn describes T-Kable as compatible with most tonearms using the 5-pin DIN standard.
