The story
Naim has built its separates around external power supplies for forty years, and the NPX 300 is the New Classic version. Connected to an NSC 222, NSS 333 or NAC 332 it deactivates that component's internal supply and powers the audio circuitry from its own larger transformer and DR discrete regulators, over two Burndy cables that keep digital and analogue supplies apart. Thick aluminium plates shield it, and more than one NPX 300 can be used in a system. It also powers an NDX 2 or, with the right cables, a NAC-N 272.
The NPX 300 is the step we recommend once a 222 or 333 system is settled: the gain is in quietness, scale and timing, and it can move to a different New Classic component later.
Naim New Classic components are made in one finish, black anodised aluminium, with adjustable logo brightness.
