The story
The Uniti Star sits between the Atom and Nova and adds what neither has: a CD mechanism that plays discs and rips them, at full resolution, to a USB drive or SD card, which the Star then serves to the rest of the house. Streaming covers Roon Ready, Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Bluetooth and internet radio; digital inputs include optical, coaxial, BNC and HDMI ARC; analogue inputs are RCA and 5-pin DIN. The 70-watt Class AB amplifier drives most speakers in a living room.
Naim has announced the Uniti Star Lite, a streaming-only successor, and lists the Star as discontinued; we have the Uniti Star available while stock lasts. It remains the one Uniti for a listener with a CD collection, and the Nova is the alternative for streaming only.
Uniti components are made in one finish, brushed aluminium with a black glass top.
