A mechanically tuned footer that replaces the spikes and feet supplied with loudspeakers and equipment racks: aluminum and bronze hybrid construction, a finial dome and three ceramic balls give vibration a direct path out of the cabinet.
Choose a single Sort Füt, the Premium Package of four with the adjustment tool and laser leveling system, or the Sort Kup and Sort Lock accessories in sets of four. Threaded adapters in 1/4-20, 6 mm and 8 mm are included with each Füt; other sizes are available.

The story
Loudspeakers and racks move, and the energy they store comes back into the music as intermodulation distortion. The Sort Füt replaces the stock spike with a four-part, mechanically tuned footer: an aluminum body, a bronze finial dome and three zirconia ceramic balls that minimise the contact area while keeping the cabinet stable, so extraneous energy drains to the floor instead of staying in the speaker.
Nordost's description of the result is a reduction in intermodulation distortion, more musical information and more tonal and textural detail, which lets a system reach the dynamic range it is capable of. Kirk Midtskog of The Absolute Sound found greater sonic ease, better detail retrieval and more coherent dynamics, as if small timing errors had been corrected, with no apparent downsides.
A single Füt is sold with 1/4-20, 6 mm and 8 mm threaded adapters. The Premium Package adds the adjustment tool and a laser leveling system so a pair of speakers can be set up precisely. The Sort Kup sits under each Füt to protect wood floors, with a geometry that pairs with the finial dome; the Sort Lock fixes the dome once set so speakers can be moved and returned to the same adjustment. We fit Sort Füt under Magico, Sonus faber and Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers and under HRS and Solidsteel racks in the showroom.
