The story
The BRM-1 was designed with the North Collection and ships in the box with the 641, 681, 791 and 891. Because it communicates over Bluetooth rather than infrared, it works from anywhere in the room, and the connection runs both ways: the OLED display reports the current volume and input back to your hand. A rotating knob handles volume, touch controls cover the rest, and a long-life lithium-ion battery recharges from any standard USB charger.
It is offered separately as a replacement or for a second listening position. The BRM-1 is made for the North Collection 641, 681, 791 and 891, and MOON also lists the Compass Collection 341 and 491 as BRM-1 compatible; other MOON components use the infrared FRM-3 or CRM-3.
