The story
Clear Cygnus Speaker uses four 15 AWG braided Matched Propagation conductors — Golden Ratio Litz around Kevlar cores, insulated in PTFE tape with an electro-dissipative layer — concentrically braided inside anti-static polypropylene fibres and a soft TPE jacket.
Cardas describes remarkable clarity and neutrality, with transparency and dynamics that punch above the price. It accepts internal bi-wiring, and like the rest of the Clear range its spades and bananas are compression forged at 10,000 psi rather than soldered.
Measure along the path the cable will actually take; down the rack, along the floor, up to the speaker terminals; and round up. Cardas charges by the half metre. Both cables in the pair are the same length. Keeping left and right equal is the normal practice, even if one speaker is closer. Spades suit binding posts you can torque down; bananas are quicker and fit most posts. You can mix: for example, spades at the amplifier and bananas at the speakers.
