A silent, fanless ionizer that sits beside your turntable and neutralizes static on the record while it plays.
Static on vinyl pulls in dust and causes the small pops and crackles you hear when a charged record discharges into the stylus. The ION-001 is a small tower that stands next to the turntable. It aims positive and negative ions at the record from two outlets, using four ion generators in total (two of each polarity). It has no fan, so it adds no mechanical noise during playback, and its ozone output is very low. With a stand it can also be used on CDs. Positive Feedback's reviewer called it the most effective anti-static device he had used, with noticeably quieter playback and far fewer pops and clicks.
