Sonus faber · Homage Collection
The fifth-generation Guarneri: the compact Homage model, with the lute-shaped cabinet's natural tone and precise, open imaging.
Price is for a pair. Available with or without the matching carbon-fiber stands; choose above.
The Guarneri G5 is a 2-way design. A 1.1-inch DAD Arrow Point tweeter crosses over at 2,200 Hz to a new 5.9-inch neodymium midwoofer, designed to reduce resonance. The narrow lute-shaped cabinet uses high-gloss lacquered wood, black leather and aluminum, with Stealth Ultraflex venting. A new crossover with Phase Coherent Level 3 parts aims to lower the noise floor.
Hi-Fi+ found rich, full-bodied vocals and a substantial but well-controlled bass, and the speaker became strikingly dynamic when played at higher levels. At 86 dB and 4 Ω, it rewards a good amplifier in the 30 to 125 W range. It suits small and medium rooms where imaging and voice matter more than floorstanding scale. The dedicated carbon-fiber stand completes the design.
