Each Duetto speaker has two amplifiers: 100 W Class AB for the 1.1-inch silk-dome tweeter and 250 W Class D for the 5.3-inch long-excursion midwoofer. The two speakers link over Ultra Wide Band wireless, which avoids latency and interference from your home network. Inputs cover HDMI eARC, optical and an RCA input that switches between line and phono. Streaming covers AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Roon Ready and Bluetooth aptX HD. The leather Senso panel on top responds to touch.
What Hi-Fi found the Duetto more outgoing than many Sonus faber designs: it plays loud without strain and throws a wide, deep stage. They recommend switching off the default Loudness Maximizer for more natural bass. It is a strong choice for a living room or TV system where you want real hi-fi sound without a rack of electronics. Add a subwoofer through its sub output if you need deeper bass.
