Carbon fiber is conductive, so the brush lifts loose dust from the grooves and drains static charge at the same time. Two rows of bristles give you more contact with each sweep. Hold it lightly on the spinning record for a few turns, then angle it off toward the edge to sweep the dust away. A pass before each side cuts surface noise and keeps debris away from your stylus. It is for dry cleaning; dirty or used records still need a wet clean.
