The story
Parsec Interconnect uses two 23.5 AWG Kevlar-core Litz conductors with Cardas's braided cross-field geometry and Golden Ratio stranding, insulated in FEP tape. The pair is twisted around poly-e air tubes and bound in carbon-impregnated FEP tape; compressed air tubes keep the tin-plated copper braided shield and the Alcryn jacket away from the conductors.
Cardas calls it the runaway favourite for value: neutral with a hint of warmth, an excellent blend of warm midrange with extended bass and treble, and very transparent for its price. It is the interconnect we recommend most often for integrated-amplifier systems.
Measure component-to-component along the real path, including the drop behind the rack, and round up to the next half metre. Use XLR when both components have true balanced connections; otherwise RCA. Cardas builds XLR and RCA versions at the same price. A pair covers one stereo connection; source to preamp, or preamp to power amp.
