The story
Clear Reflection pays homage to the old Golden Reference, blending the best of Cardas's past with the Matched Propagation conductors of the Clear range. Two 25.5 AWG conductors form a suspended-air-core twisted pair, and two composite shields of tinned copper and magnet wire ride on a second layer of air tubes, giving it a very quiet background.
Cardas describes it as very neutral and dynamic, with excellent high-frequency extension and speed but still slightly forgiving, which makes it the Clear-range interconnect for real-world systems and rooms. It introduced the copper-coloured SRCA-CU and CG XLR-CU connectors that match the black-and-copper Clear Reflection speaker cable.
Measure component-to-component along the real path, including the drop behind the rack, and round up to the next half metre. Use XLR when both components have true balanced connections; otherwise RCA. Cardas builds XLR and RCA versions at the same price. A pair covers one stereo connection; source to preamp, or preamp to power amp.
