The story
Clear High Speed Serial Buss takes the Clear USB cable and adds a special data cable with silver-plated solid-core conductors. Each conductor pair in both cables has its own shield, and each cable has a double shield of aluminium/mylar, tin-plated copper and magnet wire, in a dual asymmetrical star-quad of eight conductors bound in PFA tape.
Cardas describes added depth and realism and improved imaging over the already high-performing Clear USB, and designed it for high-resolution digital audio. Standard termination is USB A to B; some custom terminations are available.
USB A to B suits most DACs and streamers; tell us if your component needs USB C at either end and we will check with Cardas. Measure component-to-component along the real path and round up; digital cables are not fussy about an extra half metre, and Cardas suggests 1.5 m as a good S/PDIF length. Longer than 5 m?
