The McIntosh MC830 is a direct-coupled solid-state monoblock rated at 300 watts into 8 ohms or 480 watts into 4 ohms. Its compact open-chassis design places one amplifier channel, a front-panel Watt Meter, and the principal controls in a visually direct layout.
Balanced and unbalanced inputs, Solid Cinch loudspeaker binding posts, and Power Control support use as a matched pair in a two-channel system. Power Guard, Sentry Monitor, and thermal protection supervise operating conditions and the connected loudspeaker.
