MC1.25KW Power Amplifier

on-demo

The McIntosh MC1.25KW is a 1,200-watt monoblock designed for systems that require very high output from a single amplifier channel. Its Quad Balanced solid-state topology and McIntosh Autoformer provide the rated power into 2-, 4-, or 8-ohm loudspeakers.

A large front-panel Watt Meter displays output in watts and decibels, while Power Guard, Sentry Monitor, and thermal protection supervise the amplifier and connected loudspeaker. Balanced and unbalanced inputs, multiple loudspeaker terminals, and Power Control support integration into large two-channel or multi-amplifier systems.

Three Important Features

  • 1,200-watt monoblock: One chassis supplies a single high-power amplifier channel.
  • Quad Balanced architecture: The solid-state circuit is arranged to reduce noise and distortion.
  • Autoformer output: The rated power is available into 2-, 4-, or 8-ohm loudspeakers.

Three Important Specifications

  • Power output: 1,200 watts into 2, 4, or 8 ohms.
  • Total harmonic distortion: 0.005%.
  • Frequency response: +0/-0.25dB from 20Hz to 20kHz; +0/-3dB from 10Hz to 100kHz.
