MI347 Power Amplifier

on-demo

The McIntosh MI347 is a seven-channel digital power amplifier designed around a complete surround system. Its three front channels provide 250 watts into 8 ohms or 300 watts into 4 ohms, while the four surround channels provide 125 watts into 8 ohms or 200 watts into 4 ohms.

Seven balanced and seven unbalanced inputs support connection to a theater processor, and the 3U rack-mountable chassis keeps all channels together. On/off signal sensing, Power Control, Power Guard, and Sentry Monitor support automated, supervised operation in a custom installation.

Three Important Features

  • Purpose-weighted channel output: The three front channels receive more power than the four surround channels.
  • Seven-channel single chassis: A complete surround amplifier fits in a 3U rack space.
  • Balanced connectivity: Seven balanced inputs support long interconnect runs from a theater processor.

Three Important Specifications

  • Front-channel output: 250 watts x 3 into 8 ohms; 300 watts x 3 into 4 ohms.
  • Surround-channel output: 125 watts x 4 into 8 ohms; 200 watts x 4 into 4 ohms.
  • Total harmonic distortion: 0.025%.
