The Technics SU-R1000 is a reference-class stereo integrated amplifier built around the company’s latest full-digital amplification platform, the JENO Engine, which combines jitter elimination and noise-shaping optimization to preserve the transient precision and low-level resolution of high-resolution digital sources. Its Active Distortion Cancelling Technology (ADCT) extracts and corrects distortion induced by speaker counter-electromotive force, delivering consistent damping and spatial precision across a wide range of loudspeaker loads. A four-section independent power supply isolates the analogue preamp, digital preamp, and left and right power amplifier stages, yielding a high signal-to-noise ratio and exceptional channel separation.
Beyond its core amplification architecture, the SU-R1000 integrates an Intelligent Phono EQ with a hybrid analogue/digital RIAA stage, a crosstalk canceller, and a response optimizer that work with the included calibration record to refine cartridge performance. The chassis employs a double-deck separated structure with extensive steel shielding, a 10 mm front panel, and cast-iron insulators to control microphony. Connectivity includes balanced XLR analogue inputs, a balanced MC phono input, dual USB-B inputs supporting PCM up to 384 kHz and DSD up to 22.4 MHz, and high-quality speaker terminals accommodating large-gauge cable. The front panel is finished with a hairline surface and houses a large dual-needle meter, with machined-aluminum volume and selector controls.
