Video text alternative

Audio: Instrumental music; there is no spoken narration.

The video presents the MA2375 and its illuminated vacuum tubes, controls, connections, and McIntosh Watt Meters. On-screen feature cards identify it as McIntosh’s first vacuum-tube integrated amplifier in more than a decade and highlight the five-band analog equalizer, Unity Coupled outputs for 4-, 8-, and 16-ohm speakers, KT88 output tubes, analog inputs, mono subwoofer output, 75 watts per channel, configurable moving-magnet and moving-coil phono input, Power Guard SGS®, Sentry Monitor™, and Power Control.

Inside the MA2375

The official McIntosh overview above presents the MA2375’s controls and construction. These verified details explain how its analog architecture supports source selection, tonal adjustment, system integration, and private listening.

Tube architecture, made visible

The circuit uses four KT88 output tubes, four 12AT7 driver tubes, two 12AX7A preamplifier tubes, and two additional 12AT7 preamplifier tubes. A polished stainless-steel chassis frames the illuminated tubes and blue McIntosh Watt Meters.

Configure the phono input

The MA2375 supports moving-magnet, low-output moving-coil, and high-output moving-coil cartridges. Adjustable capacitance, resistance, and gain let the phono stage be configured around the cartridge.

Useful control in the analog path

A five-band analog equalizer provides optional tonal adjustment at 30 Hz, 125 Hz, 500 Hz, 2 kHz, and 10 kHz. Two Watt Meters display left- and right-channel output in watts and decibels.

Ready for a larger system

Full-range stereo preamplifier and mono subwoofer outputs provide expansion paths. Data Ports, RS232, Home Theater PassThru, Power Control, and the included remote support broader system operation.

Protection and private listening

Power Guard SGS® and Sentry Monitor™ protection technologies monitor operation. The High Drive headphone amplifier includes Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD®).
