The Aurender ACS100 adds CD ripping, library management and central-server functions to an existing Aurender system. It includes a slot-loading optical drive, two user-installable 2.5-inch storage bays and Aurender’s ACS Manager software for organizing metadata and maintaining a local music library. Network sharing allows the stored collection to serve other Aurender players around the home.
Unlike the ACS10, the ACS100 uses an external power supply and omits the dedicated filtered USB audio output, reflecting its primary role as a server rather than a reference transport. It can still operate as a source in a secondary system, but its strongest application is behind the scenes: ripping discs, storing music and managing a library for one or more dedicated Aurender playback components.
