ThunderBird BASS is designed for the low-frequency input of a bi-wire or tri-wire loudspeaker. Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ conductors carry the higher current demanded by woofers, while AudioQuest’s BASS geometry keeps this energy separate from the cable feeding the treble section.
Patented RF/ND-Tech helps drain radio-frequency noise away from the amplifier output, and the 72-volt Dielectric-Bias System stabilizes the cable’s insulation. ThunderBird BASS is intended to be partnered with ThunderBird ZERO rather than used as a conventional full-range cable. Together they form a coherent bi-wire system with clean bass definition and less interaction between frequency sections.
