The CL-1000 is Luxman’s reference tube line preamplifier, built around a transformer-coupled, balanced architecture rather than a conventional capacitor-coupled output. Six 12AU7 valves and Luxman’s LECUA-EX attenuator provide precise control while preserving the dimensionality and tonal structure that justify a tube design.
Balanced and unbalanced connections, selectable gain, phase inversion and external-preamp input make it adaptable to complex reference systems. The CL-1000 is substantial in both construction and presentation: quiet, authoritative and capable of revealing fine differences between sources and recordings.
