Maxima Amator is a rare two-way floorstander built from solid walnut. A 7-inch midwoofer covers most of the musical range, then hands off to a DAD silk-dome tweeter through a crossover that uses Mundorf components.
The simple driver layout gives voices, strings, and small ensembles a direct and coherent character. It does not chase the output of a multi-woofer tower; instead, it offers rich tone, stable imaging, and useful 35 Hz bass in a cabinet made for intimate and medium-size rooms.
