Sonetto II G2 keeps the direct, two-way layout of Sonetto I but moves to a 6.5-inch midwoofer and a larger cabinet. The change is easy to hear: bass reaches about 10 Hz lower, drums carry more weight, and the speaker fills a larger room without losing the focus of a standmount.
The front vent gives placement more freedom than a typical rear-ported monitor. Its silk-dome tweeter and paper-cone midwoofer favor natural voices, stable images, and a relaxed sense of flow. Choose it over Sonetto I when full-range music matters more than the smallest footprint.
