The Kore sub-chassis is a three-layer bonded aluminum box with an armboard machined from solid and bonded to it, so arm and bearing move as one piece, and the arm collar bolts straight to the sub-chassis. A Trampolin base board with suspended, damped feet replaces the fixed Solid Base and isolates the deck from the shelf beneath it. The Lingo supply, derived from the Radikal, drives a 12 V synchronous AC motor with digitally managed speed control that checks every rotation and recalibrates each time the deck is switched on, and it adds a switched 45 rpm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"margin:0 0 12px\"\u003eThe arm is Linn's Arko, introduced in 2022 and made entirely of 7075-grade aluminum from headshell to gimbal, with a cold-drawn 7075 arm tube, a machined stainless-steel counterweight and a single-piece polished stainless through-spindle. Its gimbal bearings are held concentric and aligned so the arm moves freely, and the arm's 10 g effective mass suits cartridges of 2 to 10 g. Linn fits the Kendo, a 0.45 mV moving coil with a boron cantilever, Super Fine Line stylus and a nickel-coated 7075 body with aluminum-bronze inserts, chosen so that arm and cartridge share a material and energy drains out of the generator into the sub-chassis.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"margin:0 0 12px\"\u003eAlan Sircom in Hi-Fi+ heard \"a very crisp, fast and precise sound,\" cleaner and more detailed than earlier LP12 specifications and \"also a lot of fun to hear,\" and concluded that the Selekt remains \"an insightful, enjoyable and most of all relevant turntable in today's high-end systems.\" Michael Evans at StereoNET gave it 9.5 out of 10, called it \"a highly emotional performer\" and asked whether it is the best-value Linn turntable on sale: \"I think it is.\" You will need a moving coil input: the MC phono stage in a Selekt or Klimax DSM, or Linn's Uphorik.
