Exakt splits the music into four drive-unit feeds in the digital domain and corrects the amplitude and phase of each driver before conversion, so the errors a passive crossover introduces after the fact never occur. Each feed then has its own Organik DAC, Linn's discrete in-house converter, and its own amplifier: Class AB stages with Adaptive Bias Control for the tweeter, midrange and upper bass (the 360 Array), and Linn's Power DAC for the two bass drivers, which merges DAC and amplifier into a single stage. The curved cabinet is built from formed 3D ply laminates, with a baffle that narrows toward the tweeter and drivers mounted flush with no grille. Since 2026 every new 360 has used Linn's own upper-bass and bass drivers with the Pistonik motor system, a long-stroke motor held in magnetic saturation with triple-layer venting, designed for very wide linear excursion and lower distortion; existing pairs can be upgraded in the home in about two hours.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"margin:0 0 12px\"\u003eImaging is the quality reviewers return to. Alan Sircom in Hi-Fi+ called the 360 an \"honest, neutral, dynamic and detailed sounding loudspeaker\" with \"excellent imaging for more than one listener,\" and found that it kept the rhythmic drive of earlier Linn flagships while playing loud with deep, dynamic bass. Tom Martin in The Absolute Sound heard a spacious, stable image that often extended beyond the speaker positions and bass that reaches \"into the 30 Hz or below range effortlessly,\" with a midrange he described as \"vivid rather than soft.\" He noted a slight emphasis around 2 to 4 kHz that read as clarity rather than a peak, and that some costlier rivals resolve more low-level detail. Both reviews predate the Pistonik driver update.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"margin:0 0 12px\"\u003eBecause amplification, DACs and crossover are built in, a 360 system needs only a Linn DSM as its source. Linn's standard pairing is the Klimax DSM: System Hub, connected by one Exakt Link cable to each speaker; a Sondek LP12 or a television plugs into the Hub and travels the same path. Space Optimisation+ then models the room's dimensions, construction and the speakers' positions and corrects for them, which lets a speaker of this size work in rooms where placement is constrained. It suits medium to large rooms.
